“I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! I shall run the way of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart.” (Psalm 119:31-32)

To what do you cling? Many will say one thing, but the truth is that the real thing to which they hold onto is something else. Only the Lord is forever. All other things are fleeting. Be led in the way of the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. Come to the Lord while He may be found and walk in all of His ways. The Lord will lead you out of the valley of death and into life.

Lord, this world is a deep valley and filled with travails. Shine Your light for my footsteps that I would not be hindered in walking the way of righteousness. Do not let me be put to shame by the wicked, but follow You no matter what happens around me. Create in me a new heart and enlarge it that I may learn mercy and compassion from You to share with others as You have shared with me.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for walking as we walk. You know all that comes at us day by day. Lead me, O Lord, in the way of grace that I would learn each day as Your disciple to become more like You. Remind me that a growing heart needs each day to grow. Help me to be humble in this age of great anxiety. In all that I do this day, bring encouragement that I would remain on the straight and narrow path You have set before me. Amen.
