“For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me” (Philippians 1:29 – 30).

The gift of salvation has been granted.  You did not figure this out, but it has been given to you.  The insanity of the rebellion is the pride that the ego lifts up internally and then dwells upon.  You have been granted the gift.  Give thanks and rejoice in God your Savior.  Yes, you will live in the conflict of this age, but never forget that He has granted to you the gift of grace and by that grace, salvation.

Lord, help me to see clearly so that I may not fall into the pit of pride.  Lead me to follow You knowing that only in, by, and through You am I able to walk this journey of faith which You have placed before me.  Guide me Lord, now and always, so that I may learn to humbly walk with You no matter what may come.  Guide me Lord in the way You know I need to go and teach me to follow You.

Lord Jesus, You have established the narrow road so that as many as follow would walk into the eternal freedom You grant by grace.  Guide me, O Lord,  that I may now and always be led by You in the way of salvation.  Teach me this day what I need to know and help me to hear rightly as You guide me along the way.  In all things, keep me close to You my Lord and my God.  Amen.
