“If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget her skill.  May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.”  (Psalm 137:5-6)

Consider the works of the Lord’s hand.  What has He promised to the faithful?  He will not forget those who have turned to Him and trusted Him for His word.  Come to the Lord who has promised your salvation through faith and by grace.  Turn to the One who will never forget His promise and live into the hope He gives.  He is faithful and will fulfill all that He has promised.

Lord, in times of trouble I wonder where You are.  Remind me through Your Word that Your promise is always present regardless my circumstances.  Lead me in the way of hope and truth that I may now and always walk by faith.  Keep me from stumbling over hindrances that I may now and always live the gift of faith that You have given me.  May I be found amongst those in whom You have joy.

Lord Jesus, You have come that all those who walk with You would be made complete.  Lead me throughout this day that I would humbly walk with You my Savior wherever You lead.  Lift my eyes up to never lose focus upon Your never-failing promises that I may be encouraged throughout this life.  Guide me, Lord Jesus, to where I need to go and give me the will to follow You to the end.  Amen.
