“All who pass along the way plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors. You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries; You have made all his enemies rejoice.” (Psalm 89:41-42)

It seems for a time that the enemies of the godly prosper. The have their way and things go against those who love the Lord. The hatred they have for the people of God is hatred for the Lord. Do not lament at the reality of the hatred you receive. Rejoice that You are considered as one who belongs to the Lord. As with Job, the Lord has a reason for all things He allows in this age.

Lord, often my faith is so conditional. If I do not experience what I think I should experience I do not believe You care. Remove from me this silliness of being conditional to realize that in You alone is the hope of all eternity. You have Your reasons and You are God. Help me gain understanding and wisdom that I may walk humbly in Your sight all the days of my life.

Lord, You know what it is to be hated. They killed You. Yet, You could not be killed. You suffered the indignities of humanity and yet You continue to love. Guide me, O Lord, in the way of salvation You have prepared that I may simply walk with You all the days of my life. Guide me in the way You know I need to go and help me accept whatever may come along the way. Amen.
