“After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.  The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might destroy Him” (Mark 3:5-6).

Yes, one can be angry, but see the object of His anger, He is grieved by the hardness of their hearts.  He moves beyond the grief to do what the Father would have Him do.  He heals.  Despite the unbelief and vitriol of those who do not believe, He acts righteously.  We too may be angry at unbelief, but we are to step forward and do what the Lord gives us to do.  Do so even if others conspire against you.

Lord, help me to be ruled by Your love and not the hatred of this world.  This world seeks for us to forever be conformed to ever-changing ideas that run us in circles.  You have come so that we may live in the sanity of the truth which You have revealed.  Be the One who guides us through all the pitfalls of this world so that the path we walk is one of faithfulness.

Lead me, Lord Jesus.  Let my anger be only righteous anger and then, lead me through all I feel to do the Father’s will.  Help me in every circumstance to abide in the Father’s will, seeking to do that which is pleasing in His sight.  Bring my mind to the place of constant prayer and doing things for the sake of Your kingdom.  Lead me according to Your goodness and mercy to humbly walk with You always.  Amen.
