“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4).

Here is one of the best pieces of advice Scripture gives for any who truly desire to put on the mind of Christ.  If even it takes you pretending in the beginning, put on the mind of Christ and see yourself as the servant of all.  In Christ, we are slaves until that time the Lord raises us to where He would have us be.  Meanwhile, humbly consider yourself the least of all of those whom the Lord has saved.

Lord, the problem of sin is born through pride.  Pride is what brought the wicked one into rebellion.  Lead me, Lord, by whatever means You choose so that I may be brought through all temptations and know that You alone are God.  Give me the heart of Jesus: the heart of a servant.  Help me to be humble and have the right attitude so that I may grow into the life You have placed before me.

Thank You Jesus for the example You gave which enables me to become whom You are making me to be.  Guide me, O Lord, and let me see the truth You bring.  Help me to learn to live the truth and, as You did, be the servant to those around me.  Whatever it takes, help me become what grace is molding in me.  Teach me how to empty myself so that I may be filled with You.  You know what I need and I thank You for providing it.  Amen.
