“In no way alarmed by your opponents – which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God” (Philippians 1:28).

The Lord is lord of all and nothing has slipped from His hands.  It is a lie of the devil that the Lord is fighting to regain what was lost.  We have been redeemed through the blood of the lamb.  As many as believe are saved.  See then that those who remain in rebellion are a sign of destruction.  That is evident and has been since the fall.  Do not be alarmed but do see the signs.

Lord, You have called me and known me from before the time I was in my mother’s womb.  Guide me, O Lord, according to the favor You grant to those who believe so that I may now and always walk according to the goodness You give through grace.  Lead me, Lord, that I may follow where You lead and never be alarmed at the acts of rebellion that take place all around me.

Lord Jesus, You have come into the world so that as many as believe receive the grace You purchased from the cross.  Guide me, O Lord, in the way of salvation in order that I would hold fast to the gift You have given me, letting go of the rebellion of the old Adam that remains.  Help me on the upward path to see that in You is all hope and the only future; for the rest is going down to the pit.  Amen.
