“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”  (1 Corinthians 2:12-13)

What we are given is directly from the Lord because it is the Lord who speaks to us.  It is not just about receiving knowledge and acting on it; it is about living in a relationship with the One who made you and walking alongside Him now and forever.  Walk in the way of the Lord by walking with the Lord.  Live in His presence and He will guide you all the days of your life in the way He has established.

Lord, help me to see through the clouds of this age where people take what You give and claim it as their own.  Help me to live by Your Spirit, knowing that only in You can I live into the life to which You have called me.  Teach me to live in utter dependence upon You.  Teach me to listen that I would now and always abide in the truth of Your presence.  Guide me according to Your will.

Holy Spirit, You are in me and with me.  Clear the way that I would always listen to You and know when other voices are trying to crowd You out.  Teach me what I need to know today and guide me live according to Your direction.  May I now and always listen to You and obey according to Your word.  Open my ears to hear and lead my feet to walk in the way You direct.  Amen.
