“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”  (Psalm 139:13-14)

We are no accident, nor a freak of evolutionary adjustment.  Before we were in the womb, God knew us.  Yes, the tentacles of the pollution of this age run deep, but hear the Word of the Lord.  It is He who made you and He knows the reasons.  Do not be deceived by this world’s triviality, but be overwhelmed with the graciousness of God who gives you life and calls you by name.

Lord, help me to see those places where I resist the truth of what You are saying.  Guide me according to Your goodness to know that You are the Creator of all things.  Lead me in the way of life that I would now and always look to You, the source of my being, and be comforted.  Before I was born you had my name written in Your book.  Teach me to marvel and rejoice.

Lord Jesus, You know all those who are Yours.  You knew each of us that You would go to the cross for.  Lead me in faith that I would now and always turn to You for all things, in all things, and through all things.  You are the One who has called me by name.  Lead me, Lord, in the way You know I should go and remove from me anything that hinder my always following You.  Amen.
