“If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about me; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.” (Psalm 139:11-12)
What is dark but the absence of light. What is light but the presence of the Lord. The Lord has promised His presence always, for wherever one of His creations is present there is at least a flicker of light. Do not be disheartened, but marvel at the ways in which the Lord comes to all of those whom He calls that they may be with Him as He is with them. Come into the Lord’s presence and live.
Lord, I spend so much time trying to figure things out. Let me be guided by Your Spirit that I would live as You have created me to live. Guide me now and always in the truth of Your presence that I would experience the liberty You give to those who love You. Take the lead and teach me to follow that I would learn from You the way of life lived eternally in Your presence.
Lord Jesus, You must be the author and finisher of my faith. How can I know where to go unless You lead? How will I know the way unless You lead me to the place from whence You have come. Guide me in the way of faith that I would learn to be like You. Lift me up with You to see more clearly each day. Guide me in the faith You have given me to live boldly in Your presence. Amen.
