“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits;” (Psalm 103:1-2)
To be blessed is to go through the difficulties to see that a work has been done. Jesus was blessed through the cross. We are that blessing. To ask the Lord for blessing is not to receive some gift from out of the blue, but to know that the Lord is working in and through your life to produce the good fruit that only He can produce when you abide in Him, and He in you.
Lord, guide me ever deeper into the mystery of faith that I would truly be blessed and understand the blessings that You give and have given. Work on my heart and mind that I would be transformed into the image of Christ. Help me now and always to see in the salvation You provide the only hope to navigate through this life and this world. Lift me up to always be with You.
Lord Jesus, you taught us to abide in You and that You would abide in us. In the monotony of life give me the singular purpose of abiding in all that You give me to abide in. You are the Savior and it is You who must always lead. Guide me, O Lord, that I may now and always live into the life to which You have called me through faith. May I bless others as You have blessed me. Amen.
