What You Need to Know
Lutheran CORE is working with NALC pastor Don Brandt to offer an at-cost coaching and consulting ministry for congregations who are between pastors. Called Congregations in Transition (CiT), this new ministry will recruit, train, and equip Lutheran pastors (mostly retired) to support and walk with congregations who do not have the resources for an interim pastor and/or do not have an interim pastor available to them.
Here are seven documents which demonstrate how this ministry can help your congregation navigate both the challenges as well as the opportunities that arise during what can be an extended call process:
- The Brochure gives an overview of how this ministry can be of help to your congregation.
- The document entitled “For Congregations Beginning the CiT Consultation” will help us and your coach get to know your congregation better.
- The Leadership Team Ministry Job Description describes the people whom your church will want to have as part of the four-to-five-member Leadership Team that your coach will work with.
