“May Your lovingkindnesses also come to me, O Lord, Your salvation according to Your word; so I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Your word. And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for I wait for Your ordinances.” (Psalm 119:41-43)
The offer of the Lord includes gaining wisdom and understanding. You can learn how to speak to your adversaries when they come against you. Such offer is built upon walking in the Lord’s way and learning His statutes. It does not come instantly, nor is it given from on high in some mystical experience. It comes through diligence, study and repetition; and it is done in relationship with the Lord.
Lord, teach me to walk with You that I would grow in understanding and wisdom. Help me to see through the lies and fabrications of this world to come to the place where I abide in You and You in me. Guide me through Your word to learn what You have already given. Teach me to be able to give an account of the hope that is within me. Lead me, O Lord, in the way of wisdom.
Lord Jesus, You have come to show the way for all who would come through You to the Father. Guide me this day to open my eyes to see the truth and understand more fully the way of salvation. May I live walking alongside You and with Your gift of the Holy Spirit leading me from within. Guide me, Lord, in the way You know I need to go that I may walk with You daily. Amen.
